Just to update. I was going to do the relay, had everything ready, and didn't have to.

Apparently on the 95 and up trucks, there is a wire to perform this function. Sure there are others, but can't confirm.

On the blue pcm harness there is a purple wire, keyed hot, and when the brake is pressed the voltage goes away. Found mine with a quick test light and a friend pushing the brake.
