1990 K2500 gmc seirra

I have a 1990 gmc seirra and my problem im dealing with right now, is whenever my head lights are off my breaklights works but when i turn them on my breaklights do not work. I have changed bulbs and checked fuses so if anyone has any idea of what to check next or whats going on i would really appreciate it.

That is a weird issue. I’d look at the ground in the back. It’s by the spring hanger on my truck
