14 bolt swap

I have a chance to buy a 14 bolt rear out of an '86 square body c2500. Given that the ratio works, should it be a direct bolt in on a '94 k1500?

The square body axle perch are narrower then gmt 400 you have to cut the perch off and weld new perches at the right length and shocks will not bolt up.

I appreciate the info. Too bad. This is yet another time that I wish I'd learned how to weld.
