cb radio setup

I had a firestik mounted behind the cab inside the rail on my '98 ext cab and i had tuned it and got a pretty low swr. I wasnt happy with the performance of it. Granted I only had one, I don't know how two perform, but I could send further than I could recieve. I changed to a larsen roof mount...

Installing a Remote Start, Alarm, or Keyless Entry?

It's not uncommon to have remote start on a manual. You just have to follow a turn off sequence so that the remote start can recognize the vehicle is in neutral and the parking brake is set.

Running power wire

Along the pass. side below the heater core lines there is plenty of room to drill a hole to run your power wire.

subs in extended cab obs

I built this enclosure for two ten inch Kicker L5's. It's a single chamber, sealed, down fire enclosure. I had to bring it out into the leg room space to get the woofers as high as I could, they still hit the floor at full excursion. And the enclosure made it nearly impossible to allow people...

the blue stuff is Selct Products duraglass, and the gray stuff is PPG DF705 lightweight filler. The stencil is a Select Products quick curve.

slow engagement?

A buddy of mine has a '94 and it was the gas actuator, mine is a '98 and it's electric. so idk. Mine works as soon as I push the button. I can hear the actuator engage and the transfer case engage aswell. I also replaced mine when I bought the truck 8 months ago so maybe that has something to do...

The older trucks 88-94? have an front axle actuator that is filled with gas and the gas is heated and expands and that is what pushes the pin to engage the front drive shaft. Over time the gas could leak out or the heating element could take longer to heat. This is what causes the delay. The...
