    I asked one of the techs at the dealership I work at. and he said that you will have to rewire all the electronics in the seat it self as the newer ones are dependent on communication with several computers. (BCM, I think its called a ICM and there is another who's name escapes me at the moment.)

    You can cut the stock speaker mounting plates to fit 6x9s pretty easily.

    You should be able to pull out the ruber part of the hose on the outside and pull out the part where the hoses connect. If that doesn't work you will have to take the whole rear arm off then the plastic nut where it meets the glass off to remove the wiper motor from the glass.

    i just finnished doing this to my 96 burban, im going to take it on a test drive to see how it works. my truck does not have variable steering but the blob joint is on the inside of the firewall.

    Alright, so it sounds like the sun shell is messed up. I forgot to mention that the truck will freely roll around as if it were in neutral when in park. I do not think it is the transfer case but i will also check it out as it is a push button.

    I can’t remember where I read this but the 1500 suburbans with the diesel engines are 8-lug. I have also seen pictures of one just like that on kijiji. Edit: It was on the wiki page under the obs section in the second paragraph.
