    88-98 Service Manuals

I love you man. I'm working on starting a restoration shop. I've been having anxiety about where to find all of this. I work for J3 Restorations in Columbia, Tennessee. We specialize in air cooled porsche and vw restoration and the amount if documentation we have is remarkable. Thanks so much...

    EFI or Carb

I do remember him saying something about that. I think he had it on his website too.

    EFI or Carb

True...with boost. Unboosted, you don't get a whole lot more. 355's might squeeze out 400 but you are going to pound 5 or 600 out of it. 383 you might get 450 to 500 but still not 600. Boosted, it just depends what you can afford. 1,000 hp is simple these days.

Strange clicking from passenger side dash area

It's the fresh air blend door actuator. Mine does it too. It's a ***** to change that one too. You remove the dash cover and it's on top in the back by the heater core. I replaced heater core when I had my dash out but thought the blend door would be fine. I was wrong. First time I fired up the...

    EFI or Carb

The most you will get from a small block is about 1 hp per inch. TBI can be built to support it, if you want to spend the money.

    S10 chassis under c2500

So, what was swapped. I read the description but I'm curious of more details. S10 suspension and all? Or just the S10 rear end perched on 1500 leafs? Frame cut up front with S10 grafted on? Seems like a lot of work. Those welds look cold as hell too. And, it's not reinforced.

    Dash Upgrade

Identifix works if you know anybody that is a mechanic or body man. There are other programs out there that I cant remember the name of. We use identifix in the bodyshop I work in. Very useful when doing jobs like this.

    95 TBI Hot Miss troubleshooting

Hey lron Possum, did the plug wires fix your problem. I'm having the same issue. Just flushed one $50 down the toilet (ICM). Trying to avoid flushing too many more. I did replace plugs recently, that didnt fix it either. I had the exact same thought, ignition switch. I have headers as well and...

Anybody swap an early an R12 to R134 system

Update. There is also a different pressure switch for the evaporator. Its specific to r134a conversion. Without this switch the compressor reads incorrect pressure and cycles too many times, then turns itself off until you unhook battery and clear the memory. Similar to running without freon...

    Manual trans to auto swap

I'm curious where this leads. I have recently been thinking of the same thing. My wife cant drive my truck which sounds "cool" but it's not. We live in North Dakota. We drive 75 miles for groceries and more than that for a lumber yard. It would sure be nice if she could drive every once in a...

1991 GMC 350 TBI Engine stumbles and dies at idle after warm up

Also I just recently had the problem of clogged injectors. I cant remember what it cost but I traded mine for a cleaned set. Runs much better now. I had no power past half throttle before. As for the stumbling idle. The IAC solved that problem for me. I've also experienced idle too high (1500)...

    TBI Injector cleaning service

Looking for referrals for an injector cleaning service. I've found several through Google. Just looking for someone reliable. There's not much info/reviews out there about injector cleaning services.

Putting A Chip In A TBI Truck

Really. I'll have to keep that in mind. There just isn't much out there for tbi. I found his webpage and it seemed knowledgeable. I did notice he's kind of a dick. My problem is I'm a bodyman, I paint cars for a living I'm mechanically inclined but I'm no mechanic by a long shot. Data logging...

Truck bogs under load. Runs fine otherwise.

I think that's the route I'm going to take. I was just uncertain if that may be the problem or not. I did a lot of looking around online and I think if I upgrade the fuel pump and change the regulator spring I should be good to go. Now I just have to figure out what spring to get. All that...

Truck bogs under load. Runs fine otherwise.

Runs great, idles great feels very strong. When underpaid it bogs. Just putting around town it runs great. Not sure if this is the regulator spring or fuel pump or combination of the two. I'm running melling mtc-1 cam. Tbi chips stage 2 Level 4. Headers, no cat.

Love it. I'm headed in somewhat the same direction. Staying with the small block though. Have you done anything to the interior?

Could you take some pictures of the trimming he did? I agree that looks bad ass with the 37's. I like the wheels too.

"Cold Air" build. Modified stock breather.

I'm going to see if I can't dig up a V6 tube from behind the shop today. We have a virtual grave yard of cars. They go back there and never leave.

    Changing a cam shaft???

Melling MTC-1, cut out your cat and get some cheap eBay shorty headers. If you do the work you are in it for less than $500 and those made made a huge difference in bottom end for my 5.7. Everybody hates on the 5.0 but I don't really know how much weaker it is. Either way, those mods will make a...
