    Subs for single cab

You could also raise or move the bench seat forward if you’re looking for more space, though that will depend on how tall/fat you are. I’m 6’4” and barely fit into a single cab as it is, so I wouldn’t move the bench. But I’ve done so in other cars to make room for an amp. Are you looking for...

    Best aftermarket Door speakers

I had a 3-way custom setup in the front doors of my last truck, it sounds like a concert hall. Though I had to make some custom fiberglass mountings for the speakers, it was worth it in the end. My speakers were $850 for the set. For stock locations, I agree with Infinity speakers. I prefer...

    Choices to make, experience needed.

You stated that you have a 1992 Z71, but which tonnage do you have? K1500, k2500, or k3500? I ask because you’ll want to haul using a frame that is designed to haul such a load. Yes, you can upgrade the motor, and brakes, but going to the expense of upgrading the frame as well, and you’re into...

    Dome/interior light switch

I find that the contacts in those assemblies just need a good cleaning to make contact, as the switch just makes physical contact, and corrosion over time tends to build up. So before you buy something, trying cleaning the switch really well to get down to some bare metal.

    ALL SUMMIT-WHITE TRUCKS.. This is a MUST-HAVE

White's one of those color's that is easy to find a "blendable match" for, you get it close, and when you hit it with clear it'll blend right into the rest of the white. Unlike metal flakes or blacks which suck to respray at times.

    Mesh grille?

You could always go custom, not that hard to make a custom insert yourself. There are many interesting patterns of expanded metal. I've done it myself for a couple similar projects, I usually mig the insert to a metal rod underneath the perimeter of the grille, then affix that to the grille with...

    Body line fix?

Yeah, it looks in the picture that you have a tighter bed to cabin gap at the top of the bed, is that accurate? The door gaps look good front and rear, and the front fender seems to line up with the door nicely, so far as the bodylines. Honestly it could be a handful of different things going...

    Help needed on dually fenders

Not sure exactly for the dually bed, but I would just make it work. They're there for support only, so long as it is sturdy, you'll be fine. Alternatively, take a crap load of pics and some measurements of the position relative to a given point. Then hit up a junk yard and see if you are...

Best way to fool O2 sensor

Split Second, used to sell signal modifiers, and I think they still might, but that could possibly require more digging on their site or an email. Though replacement cats would be the most reliable option. http://splitsec.com How much louder do you want the exhaust? Have you considered...

1997 C2500 without spare tire or provisions?

Thanks, I'll have to hit up the junk yard and try to make it work, hopefully without having to remove the bed, lol.

1997 C2500 without spare tire or provisions?

I dunno, thus is why I asked, I'm not sure if there was a reason for the OEM not to include one. Like the stock tire size being too big to fit underneath or something. Though I would think that the added weight of a spare tire would be an added plus to help the rear from bouncing around as much...

1997 C2500 without spare tire or provisions?

I've got a 1997 C2500 long bed regular cab 5.7 w/ lsd, and apparently it didn't come with a spare tire, or the provisions for a spare. Nothing mounted underneath the truck frame. Have you guys seen this before? If you could suggest how to mount a spare? I'd prefer to not have it in the bed, as...

Anybody dealt with consistently wet carpet on the drivers side?

Across the top of the windshield? Wouldn't you see water running down the glass or something like that? I'm not finding any water anywhere, none on the sheet metal under the dash on both sides, put papertowels up under both sides of the foot wells, and waited for a rainstorm, and they're both...

Anybody dealt with consistently wet carpet on the drivers side?

will check both areas. thanks. Waiting for somewhat nice day, the 50's or so.. Middle winter sucks for working on my truck.

Anybody dealt with consistently wet carpet on the drivers side?

I tried searching, pulled the cowl and waterproofed the heater cover, the screws, etc. Can't figure out where rain is getting into the cab at. The front of the carpet by the pedal's seem dry. But under where my feet go is consistently wet. I don't think there is just a massive amount of water...

Eastern/Middle PA, Central Jersey, anyone interested in a U-Pull It Meet?

Did one of these with a car club some time ago, worked out pretty well. The U-Pull It's don't mind, so long as you pay your $2 at the door. Heck might be able to coordinate with them if you want me to and see what they have truck wise before we go. We would have a couple of option in yards...

    Headlight LEDs

I bought ones similar to the ones the OP posted, but paid $30 with free shipping from china. They work fine, I use them in the low beams. They produce 30% more lumens then the stock bulbs that I had in there. Checked it with a light meter at work. Honestly though I'm going to change the low...

    Alternator issues

Have you considered adding a 2nd alternator? It's a viable option, which is a bit easier if you don't have a/c. But requires a custom mount be fabricated. Also depends on how much amperage you a pulling on a regular basis. Might be easier to have a truck with a killer system, and also a...

    Headlight bulb upgrade

I went with chinese LED's they are 50% brighter then stock. to the point where oncoming cars sometimes actually flash their lights at me. Which over stock, it is a night a day difference. But realistically, I think I can see maybe 20' farther then I could before. Meaning maybe 60' total. They...

    writeup/diy searching

I've been trying to find non-stickied writeups and DIY's in some of the forums, but it seems that the search string for DIY isn't working. and writeup is a too general term. So suggestions? Or perhaps these threads could be stickied in a thread that lists all their titles or something. Just a...

    Debating on a LED bar

I see what you are saying. Are you unhappy with the light output or the KC lights? Or just looking for a new look? I bought some LED's, but haven't jumped the gun on a LED bar yet. Though the ones on alibaba might be calling my name in the near future. Which bar are you thinking? Curved...

picked up a 1997 k1500 earlier this year, and damn there are alot of truck forums. I think this is the 3rd forum specifically on the GMT400 trucks that I've joined. Here to learn more about the truck, fix problems, etc.
