Since you don't have stripes on the tailgate, I would do an all white tailgate (no banner) with that slanted Chevrolet script like the Sport/SS trucks, just like the pic above.

Then again, it looks so nice as it is now, I might not even touch it if it were my truck

As far as the body moulding if you can get the peeling chrome off you can get chrome stripe tape and replace it or try a red stripe tape to see if you like it. Stripe tape can be bought in many widths and a tool to cut the width you want is not too expensive. https://www.customautotrim.com/pinstriping-tape/pinstripe-tape-slitter/slit2/
You may find a local body shop that could cut the stripe for you.

Y'know, I was tempted to paint my body molding where the chrome was red, but I thought all black, but then I thought the de-badging looks a ton better. I would've just painted the chrome part black since my moldings were a-ok still, but were getting a rusty look to them sort of. Just removed them totally and my truck looks a lot better, but since with yours, if they did masked off and painted around the molding, probably isn't a good idea to remove them totally for good. If you want to check my albums. If you want more of the SS look, I painted my door emblems and love them! I had them clear coated as well, so worth it. Took me quite a few hours to mask off all three of them and just to get them about perfect. If you want more pictures I can provide some. Doesn't look good with the chrome strip though, the whole point why I removed my molding. SS emblems+SS theme with factory chrome strip molding = disgusting to me, just my opinion though.

If you really wanted to get crazy, you could paint the chrome strip black, and paint the ridges red like the Sport's did:

Just some ideas. ;)

For the grille bowtie, do it like an SS would, black and red. :D That's what I did to mine and the red/black combo on the bowtie looks hella cool. Painted it instead of buying it, way too expensive to buy. And yes, get some 350SS stickers! Best purchase I bought for my truck. Have had people ask me if it's a real SS, lol, I say no. I really want to ditch my rear tailgate emblems and get the '90 454SS tailgate sticker banner. Would look hella cool on your truck with the other SS stuff, I like to have a theme, stuff's gotta match or else it looks weird or tacky. :)

Sorry for the long post, but the SS look is what I live for, lol. If someone's looking to make their truck look like an SS or talks about an SS truck, I'm all over that, lol. :D

I had my bed Line x ed today. Bed liner looks great, but being the cheep paint job I have, when they removed the tape, it pulled paint with it. The guy at Line x warrned me about this first, and said he would do the bed at my own risk. I said OK , just do it anyway. So now I have sanding, painting and blending to do, but thats OK. I knew what might happen. I think the Line x guy was more up set than I was. So sense I have to do the tail gate, I may remove the banner, and do the SS decal on it like in the pic above of the white SS. Im not sure yet. Its to cold rite now to fool with it. My co worker paints Motorcycles, and he said he would help. So I will get it back up to par after the weather warms up. I will post some pics soon.

Ooo, you'll have to post pics of the bed liner! :D Sucks that you have to repaint and blend a few spots. I think your truck would look awesome with that SS banner instead of the aluminum banner.

Drivers side from the top of the crease to the bed liner, and same on tail gate. I may just redo the whole tail gate. As for the passengers side, there are just a few specks. I can get those with some touch up paint with the little brush in the bottle. Drivers side, I will have to do the top of the panel all the way from front to back. When I had my 93 WT, I bought it on the cheap in 99. It didn't have a tail gate. I found one in our local sale paper. It was green. I repainted it, and it came out grate.

Same time as the SS 454. But the sport package was much more rear. Also the sport was basically a 350 version of the SS 454 package. The 350 SS was just a dealer add on sticker package. Not anything GM built like the SS 454, or the sport package.
