Got the truck back today. Mechanic said there was air in the line and a little crud in the orifice tube. Figured the backyard mechanic that did the compressor swap before didn't flush it good enough. Cost $95 for him to change the tube and recharge. He did say that since it was originally an r12...

Not sure if mine is out or not. I know I can hit the button and you definitely hear a difference in the air flow, but temp doesn't change. My ac is not getting cold enough and someone suggested it could be flap not closing all the way.
The other day I was working on my ac and I noticed a harness had melted behind the glove box. I went to the junk yard and looked for a new one. The first two I looked at were melted just like mine. I eventually found one and spliced it in, but noticed today the red power wire is getting really...
I checked it out a little today. I have a definite change in temp and sound when recirculate is pressed. I did notice the other day that I ran over something particularly smelly and it blew threw the vents even with recirculate on. I did notice that when the air is on I can feel cold air...
I recently had the a/c compressor, dryer, and orifice tube replaced because the compressor was leaking Freon. It still does not blow cold. I checked the vent temp and it was reading about 62 degrees. Freon is still showing full and I went in and cleaned the evaporator grille out and cleaned off...
