    i bought my lift used and was going to order new hardware kit, but ended up goin down to the local hardware store and picking up all grade 8 stuff and customizing it, and i hear ya there, my truck has 240k miles on it, but no rust atleast. hows progress going? i did mine on jackstands ON blocks...

    horrible quality from my phone but twisting this was i dropped everything in 10 or 15 min in one piece, and you can see the atmosphere and tools i have to work with. if your in a shop it could be done 100 times easier.

    wow just sayin that if all he was doin was puttin drop brackets for the torsion bracket there is no need to remove the bars from the crossmember or the arms, i did mine just last week without removing either and dropped it as a unit, its easy, all you have to do is remove the transmission...

    just unload the bars, that only take 5 min, use a regualar or large c clamp unthread the majority of the bolt thread, put your c clamp on, undo the rest of threads and remove the little square in your crossmember for the keys, unload the rest of the c clamp slowly and its done. its 2 or 3 min...

    i never undid mine for my lift, if you drop the lower arms and the torsion brackets, you can slide the whole unit to the passenger side and angle it out, mine were frozen too, its a pain but thats how i did mine, youll have to jack up drivetrain and remove the trans crossmember, but its not that...

    seems to me if the pin sheared you'd have to replace the block, unless you like welding to the platform...
