Well if you want a Swiss army knife of a tire, I suppose the Duratrac would fit the bill.

I believe in having two sets of tires, a summer set and a winter set. I concur the Duratrac, for a lug tire, is very quiet on the highway, also very comfortable ride, despite their weight. I agree they work well in the dry, but in the ice and snow is what I disagree with.

I have studded General Altimax arctic tires on my FWD car, it is fantastic in the snow.

when i was upstate we would do an easy 20-25K a year commuting....winter months were a studded winter tire on all 4 corners, and a good all terrain in the "non-winter" months.....really we had 2 seasons....BUG season and SNOW season.

i drove my '90 K/5 a whole 13K miles in like 5 years....otherwise i ride the sled......so we'll see......i'll continue to update my Duratrac impressions as i get on more miles.....so far i'm impressed.....i also have an open rear, which i prefer to posi or locked in snow.........i WILL have a selectable locker when i swap in a 14 bolt though.

and i ENJOY driving in the bad crap when everyone else is afraid(smarter than me) to go out.

i just don't DRIVE enough to justify 2 sets of tires anymore....we'll see when i move back upstate......tires are your cheapest insurance for safety, can't skimp on a good tire

did you see the other videos in post # 680 df2x4? ....they were from the interstate drive on my way up to Utica

Must have missed them somehow. Just went back and watched them though, good stuff! The Spyders definitely get my seal of approval. Cut off actually looks even better than my plastic Anzos. (Which I have no problem with, the Spyders just look that good)

ok, very cool.....would you or your buddy happen to have a "beam shot" from standing next to the truck looking back?

Here's a few more pics of the flush mounts in the F150

whoa....that's pretty dang sweet for a $20 pair of lamps......i'll tell you, if they last a while i see no reason to spend $80+ and a "better" set for what i'll be using them for.....they make workable light for sure.....if they were angled up a bit they'd be even better.....simple enought to do with some rubber and black RTV,

thanks for that.

Yeah they're definitely high quality for $20. Unfortunately the way the bumper is angled it aims them more toward the ground but they still do a pretty good job.

From the different led bars/pods I've had, the Osram 4D lights with 5 watt "bulbs" are the best. Recently I've seen a few with 7 watt bulbs but haven't had a chance to get a set yet

I have a 6.5 inch flood light as my backup light, lights up everything very well. And the anzo led tail lights I bought on amazon with an led tailgate bar I bought from tractor supply
