EDIT: apparently i had posted a similar thought before.....it goes to show you how messed up my memory and brain cells(all 2 of em) actually are.......9 big surgeries and corresponding anesthesias will do that! sorry for the "double" post

looking back....that "cats eye" lookin bem is very similar to what i had hen the bulb was not seated and cocked to one side......i wonder if it's a similar thing going on with the semi-circle arc from the HID? the "filiment" is not where it's supposed to be in relation to the reflector......interesting.
No, the HID arc and the H4 filament are very similar, and the upkick is part of the light intended to illuminate more of the shoulder of the road and signs, it's part of it's optics. You can see the angled part in the glass on them as well.

ahhhh....yea, i forgot those are the e-codes....and that's the way they work....you do have a great cutoff, but i'll think that's also from the diligent work you put in to space them as close to a H4 bulb as possible.......i'm quite impressed with the system you built.......not many folks understand the little nuances that you addressed.

and i do love the entire truck you built.....cudos to your technical prowess and the ability to pull it off.

i just ramble on...who the hell can keep track of this thread anyway......???? LOL

I think it's pretty impressive that we've made it to 50 pages. This thread is awesome. It's like a treasure hunt, if you take the time to read through all our rambling and ranting, there's actually some really good info hidden in here.

i concur! there IS good and great information in here.......my build thread on the shovelhead forum went 356 pages.

i'm gonna keep this going as it's become a diary of sorts for everything pertaining to my lighting and all the good information and experiences from everyone that has shared.

truth be told, i think we did a good job on the final HEADLIGHT SYSTEM thus far......
