Back when I had my 91 rcsb me and a friend was playing in a field (not ours. Young and dumb) an seen a set of lights coming. He managed to get in 2wd an rolled out. After realizing what was goin on I hauled a$$ in 4wd I got up to 70 an slowed down an hide in someone's driveway. Never had a issue with it but I was scared to death of something happening to it lol.

I've never really passed 40 with mine in 4wd, I'd definitely be scared of something happening at 70.. You're definitely lucky nothing ever happened from that though.. that would've sucked
I'm curious if anyone's ever touched upwards of 85/90 and why if they did...

80 kph so around 50 mph no problem. That was this winter when we got around 40 cm of snow, was driving to town.

Never needed it past about 20-30 mph.

If I ever do, it's time to get off the road until the storm passes.....

Buried the 140km/h speedo on mine in 4WD with it still pulling... No issues as of yet... Goes back into 2WD everytime.

yupp, I don't go 140 but you know lol

I travel for work all the time, we get storms a lot where we travel, so we keep on driving... I mean, if you cant see 2 feet infront of you cause of the snow then yeah for sure... pull over.. but weve got on high way theirs literally no where to pull over .. long 150 km high way with barely any shorlders, literally cant fit you car/truck on the gravel, and storms hit and you end up just having to drive it

Stop tooting the Newfie horn BJ.

Just funnin' ya. I've never been to NL so I can't say, I do hear it's been rough up there. Lately here in NB, the secondary roads have been nothing but thick slush, where the temp has risen closer to zero (about -10 last time I checked the thermometer, up from closer to -30 the past week). So, driving 80-90 km/h I don't really have much choice but to use 4x4 with my ECLB, which has awful traction as you're well aware. I could slow down, but I haven't experienced any problems yet.

Note: I have somewhere around 800 pounds of sand in the bed, too. Helps a lot but I still need 4x4 a lot of the time.

I have gone over 100 in an all time 4wd....in a subaru that had some extra power under the hood and my truck has never gone over 45mph in 4hi I wouldn't mind finding a transfer case that can go over 100 without issues
