Well my truck is not 100%. Took it for its maiden voyage and all was well. Then I lost alot of my braking & steering. Then it came back. Power steering fluid was a little low so I top that off. Will tinker around a bit more tomorrow. Going to bleed the brakes and check the power steering lines once the sun comes back out

You still have air in the power steering system is what it sounds like to me. Did it act twitchy? If so theres air in the system.

At first it was good. Turned onto burton, still good. Went to stop at burlingame....barely any brakes. Then went to turn around and the steering wheel was super stiff and barely any brakes. Checked the level on power steering and it was a tad lower but not bad. Topped it off, and drove back home normal. Im guessing it needs bled. Do I just run it with the cap off? Or do I need to take off the return line and start the truck up.

Well, the shop called. First thing he says "I found a lot of things wrong". First thought is Aahhhhhhh ****, this aint gonna be cheap... What he found:

-ABS light on (always has been)
-Coolant light is on (been sitting for 3 weeks, and hadnt check the coolant)
-Rear brakes are very far out of adjustment
-zerk missing on pitman arm (whoops)
-steering box adjustment screw not tight enough (My bad? Idk what this is)
-power steerong pump leaks and has no pressure until engine reaches 2000 rpms (BINGO)

Having them install a new pump... $550 with labor. A tad high, but I just want it done

Yeah. My buddy amd his parents go to this shop for everything, and I "new" to the area so didnt know where to go. Im just upset that he decided to call my work when I was not able to answer my phone. Yes, its my fault for telling him I worked right down the street at Valley, but I never said it was alright to call me there. I only told him to let him know that I was picking him due to convience.

With all that aside, I now have a little list of stuff to check on myself once I have it back in my possession. I know the rear brakes were going and planned on getting them ASAP.. I just finished the front... The front stabalizer is a fairly cheap part and extremely easy to replace. The resr is just stupid stuff. lol

Just an FYI ; no reputable shop would mess with the preloaded screw on the box. Too much liability if they get it wrong. Replacement is the normal recommendation. I would be very worried if they say they can adjust it...
