And with the comments about the fuel pump relay its got me thinking about what is causing long crank times in my K3500. It takes at least 5-7 seconds of continuous cranking before it fires...

It's definitely worth a shot. You could even try swapping it with the A/C relay as a quick test (if equipped of course)

Thanks everyone. Hopefully tires come in today they said theyll call me. Or tmw at the latest. I pulled out the relay and to be honest, its appearance is fine. No burning or weird kind of anything but who knows if it's functioning properly. I'll try to swap with the AC relay if I can find it. Kind of weird though the relay doesn't look like how I was expecting it. Thought it would be like a black box it's more like a plug haha

Also put in the new battery. crank is still taking long as expected so I know it's a fuel air starter type of deal, not the battery. I'll probably replace the fuel filter next, start with the easy stuff.

has anyone recently flushed the coolant out of their truck yet? There is no "drain" hole like when you do an oil change right? You just take the hose on the bottom of the radiator and disconnect it and allow coolant to spill out everywhere? haha well at least that's what the haynes manual said if i remember correctly. Or I can get those backflush kits for $2.99 and try to drain it from the hose by cutting it and installing the "T". I'm guessing it would be the hose that goes from the radiator to the heater core (through the firewall on the passenger side)?

There it's a drain on the radiator but allot of times it breaks off. Easier to just pull lower hose and control the flow to limit spillage
