I've got a set of knockoff TYC Elegante headlights I nabbed off eBay a couple years ago; not the legit thing but close to it in quality wise. Took those off in factory of a set of glass quad beams.
Biggest thing I feel like made a difference was 4Hi mod, and 9011/9012 HIR bulbs with the composite lights; quad beams are going to get LED highs and HIR lows and an improved 4Hi kit.

As far as "brighter" lights; I'll echo what a few other people have mentioned, you need the proper housings for brighter lights. HIRs are probably the easiest mod and least agitating to other drivers with the proper lights.
If I was doing it all over again, I'd do Anzo crystal lights or cough up for Spyder lenses with HIRs and a 4Hi.

New headlights and bulbs make a huge difference. I turn my dash lights down also…

Over $400/pr? Plus bulbs?
Suit yourself, but mine provides excellent lighting for a fraction of that.
I’m glad you’re happy with them. They left me wanting more. I did pretty good for what I ended up with and what I paid.

I am looking to replace all of the lights on my 1998 K2500.
I am looking for good quality and I want them to be BRIGHT.

Jealous nice truck!!!

Start with the 4-high mod first, try the 3M headlight restoration kit second. And if that's still not good enough, go with Artebs

I'm kind of in the same boat as OP. My 97 has some pretty bad faded lights but the bulbs are also basic 9 dollar bulbs and god knows how old. I can leave my brights on and never get flashed at.

Gonna do the 4 hi mod with some new phillips nightguide bulbs and gonna try and polish them out a little.

You can upgrade the High beams from 9005 bulb to 9011 HIR bulb with a little trimming of the bulb locking ring also. And then run Phillips extreme 9006 in the low beam. The low beam may not las quite as long but this will be the brightest setup without causing glare to other drivers

Check out this thread for a good headlight discussion. It has a lot of arteb stuff but its a good general lighting discussion also.

HD Headlight Harness with 4-Hi mod added should always be the first change after getting rid of old yellowed lenses. I prefer the Spyder glass lens housings myself, and I'm just running stock replacement bulbs.

I have zero issues with dark country driving with my setup. If you turn the LED fogs on the high side with the high beams on it will take "cartoon x-rays"!

Hard to beat the Spyder glass lenses from a cost/benefit standpoint. Just keep the OEM adjusters - the ones that ship with the new housings are junk. Upgraded bulbs and the 4-hi option are also good ideas although I will say I felt no need to upgrade the bulbs after installing the glass lens housings.

Please don't use LED lights on the road. I'm sure it's fun to x-ray the skulls of oncoming drivers, but those things are evil. I know a fellow who suffered a burned retina from another driver who flashed his LED lights at him while sitting across from him at a stop light. His vision is now permanently impaired in one eye and there is nothing anyone can do to help him.

Just wanted to emphasize this even more!

HID's, LEDs, ETC have no room inside a halogen housing!

9011 bulbs can be modified for the high beam but DO NOT modify a 9012 for the low beam. There isnt any glare shield on the bulb so it will flash everybody even daytime and you'll be getting the high beam flash by anyone driving at night, which is a danger to yourself.

Are those the lmc housings in the quad setup? Really wish I could find those somewhere else because they are mighty proud of them.
