How bad are the flares?
Driver side isn't bad, there are some scratches, some pretty good ones but nothing that concerns me.
This is the only picture I can find of the passenger, and now that it is off it is two pieces with a chunk just gone.

And how good are you at glass fab?
Well I've never really messed with it. I have but very little

Just an fyi from a prior discussion on here somewhere - since you may find a nicer paired set as a replacement, keep in mind that the driver's side flare on 99 and 00 duallys were 2-3" shorter than the passenger side, and all prior years' driver's side flares. That's why fiberglass replacement sets only list up to '98.

Also, isn't there some frito bandito knowledge on using the proper materials when repairing those flares? Standard glass repair won't work, or something like that. I can't remember the details, not a shocker.

Love the truck and the attitude. And I'm lovin' seeing the backgrounds in your shots. Both of my parents were from Iowa farm families, I'm a Cyclone from way back when, and I still come pheasant hunting every year, and to visit family of course... LOL

I'm 99% sure this is only on the shortbed duallys, which this is not. LB trucks were the same.

GM did not produce two separate size flares for the driver's side in 99 and 00, to my knowledge. I thought we went over this a while back. I had no idea, so it was a bit shocking, and probably the only reason I remembered it. That and I'm doing the same thing... kinda.... swapping existing sb flares onto a stock sb box.

You Illinoisers :p

I remember us all going over it, don't remember a definitive answer. That doesn't mean there wasn't one, just that I'm old and suffer from CRS....
