I have a 1995 Chevrolet 1500 w/t with a bench seat and I want to swap it to a 60/40 split. Does the truck come from the factory equipped for both or will I need to modify to fit?

On the 60-40, you have to bolt the driver's seat, onto the trans tunnel, and the passengers seat, bolts next to it, on floor. When I had my 93,WT, I bought a set of 40-20-40 seats, and had to drill holes in the floor board. That set was around $1800. I ended up selling them to a co worker for $900, and took his extended cab 40-60 seats. They were a PITA to bolt up. On my 97, the 60-40 seat,,, driver's side, was getting bad. I found a set of buckets from a 95 Tahoe. Those seats were very easy to swap. Everything bolted up, even the electronic plugs, and the driver's side is power, but the 60-40 wasn't. I only had 1 hole that wasn't there on the driver's side front. So, it's kind of hard to say. Get what you want and do what you need to, to make it work out. It's not real hard to adapt any seats into your truck. We took a set of buckets seats from a KIA, and put them into my son's 2010 Tacoma. Took me about 3 or 4 hours.

I really appreciate the in-depth answer this site is amazing. I took off the crusty seat cover and the oem bench seat was actually in great shape so I’m going to hold out on the seat a bit and get me some door handles and panels .
