So I'm doing a major coversion of my 88 GMC with sas and possible cab swap and I'm tired of the lack of power from my 280,000 mile 305ci and I have an 95 k3500 with a good running 350 that doesn't burn any oil and is about half the mileage. My question is can I put the 350 in and just plug in the tbi or are the computers different? And if so can I just swap the computer? or is it not worth it?

what trans are you going to run? if the 1 ton truck has a 350/4l80e id just swap engine harnesses computer, motor and trans and be done with it.

I was planning on running a 700R4 that has been recently rebuilt the 1 ton does have the 4180e but its shot which is one reason its a parts truck

so 700 is easy to use thats no issue, actually i think you can reuse your extermal esc but use the 350 knock, your computer might be fine otherwise try putting the 350 one in and see what happens.
