why not leave the piece in the motor it will fall into the oil pan ,next retap the threads for the oil pressure sender dont make to many turns with the tap if you do the sender wont tighten- t.c.815

Rough idle, occasionally dies while driving, running out of ideas....
check your ground wire @ the front of the intake manifold,if that is ok check all grounds.- t.c.815
