    I have put roughly 50 miles on the truck since doing a rebuilt th400 and junkyard 350. So far everything's good. I had to unstick a ring in the engine as it did smoke but after a few hard runs it quit smoking. It also had a little bit of blowby but its all but gone now. I have a feeling this...

    Looking at those pics actually helps me a ton. Im 95% positive I have enough exhaust pieces to build a crossover like that and clear my pan now that I think about it.

    I'll try and fit my pipe that way again just to see but, Im almost positive with the headman headers the pipe will hit the pan I'm running.

    Its been a minute but I'm still around. I have had the th400 rebuilt and after I got it put back in the truck I developed a rod knock. At some point I will have the truck back on the road.

    Ive got the transmission just about ready to go. I test fit the transfer case it slid right on. I've changed the modulator put a new front pump seal in and cleaned the mud off the case. I have a new converter flexplate and pan on the way. I also plan on running a case mounted shifter.

    so I have gotten a th400 to go in my truck since the sm465 is toast it'll also help my knee. To my surprise this things really clean on the inside and the fluids clean. I'm gonna put a new pan/filter in with a new converter. I feel confident enough in it to put it in the truck without a rebuild.

    So 3rd gear finally came apart on me. It's a super common issue with these old sm465s. I could rebuild it but I've been wanting a 5 speed for awhile now so that's the route I'm going.

    My new trans mount showed up today. It's supposed to be stronger than a stock replacement. I have noticed it's thricker than a stock mount and it also seems to be built a little bit tighter than a stock untit.

    its only a mock up but my exhaust idea is slowly coming together. I can basically get all the pipe I want so once I get this figured out I run a full system.

    Ive got to tidy up the wiring but all the gauges that I have on hand are now in and working. I'm hoping the speedo will show up this week so I can button up the interior.

    I haven't done a whole lot to the truck here the last few days. I put the better tailgate on it and fixed all the electrical gremlins. Gauges will be going in as soon as the speedo shows up

    I've got a 6" tach I was running before I did the cab swap and other stuff. It'll be going back in place on the dash.

    so my gps speedometer hasn't showed up yet so I can only do a sorta mock up. The funnel is the same size as the speedo so it at least gave me a visual. The tac will be going on the dash like it was in the old cab.

    Probably not I'm leaning more towards a aggressive all terrain. To much grip breaks parts not enough and all you do is slip. I need good wheel speed with just enough traction
