Truck tries to drive through the brakes

I worked at Oreilly for over 3 years. We could not test TPS units. If it was bought there it could be swapped for a warranty exchange depending on product line. Masterpro had a one year warranty. Standard or Borg Warner had life time. I doubt the TPS is your issue.

Truck tries to drive through the brakes

Doesn't the TPS (throttle position sensor) on the side of the throttle body come into play with erratic throttle input? Sounds like two issues though. One at idle and one while driving.

Nice pic! Love that truck. Had a few cold beers at Gruene Hall listening to Robert Earl Keen and Jerry Jeff Walker.

Yeah it will be used for light towing and daily driving. Have a newer Silverado for the heavy lifting. Did a 102 mile run today. Very nice. Still a couple of things to debug. Love this body style.

211K original engine and transmission. Runs like new. It is the 4.3 though. Tough little motors but I wish it had the 5.7. Too clean to pass up,

Yep. No salt on icey roads but they do put down sand and pea gravel. This one is super clean. Undecided on if I will keep the fiberglass shell on it. I will post some pics tomorrow after a bit of cleaning.

    Greetings from South Texas

Hello all. New guy from South Texas. Just picked up a 1 owner 1997 stepside Cheyenne pick up. Trying to get up to speed on maintaining and keeping these trucks going. Look forward to getting to know other members. Appreciate any help and guidance as I go along.
