Follow up-I have a 98 k1500 with low compression it is a 5.0. Low compression 5.0 back fires
I have a 98 k1500 I have 60 psi in cylinder 3 all other cylinders average 150-155 psi. I don’t know if it’s Due to the loss of compression but this thing backfires like hell. Engine backfires at high rpm
I have a 98 k1500 5.0 305 recently got it replaced the distributor cap and rotor along with the Ingnition control module It has a misfire on cylinder 3 and backfires without load at 70% to full throttle under load around 50-60% so around 2500 to 3500 rpm.
