The roller lifter actually looked normal. I ordered replacement cams, but of 3 received, all were rusted and pitted in the box. I will probably just find an aftermarket no tune needed cam.- Coothethird

In the process of moving my suburban into the shop, I started the engine and heard a knock. It was a consistent sound. I figured it sounded like a lifter. So I thought, idle is ~800rpm, cam is ~400rpm, so 400/60 =~6.67 hertz. I plugged it into a hertz/sound generator...- Coothethird

OK. I replaced the fuel pump (complete assembly) under warranty. Now it holds pressure under WOT. It is, however dropping pressure after a few mins. So it is time for new injectors and regulator. The voltage is right at battery voltage at the pump. I didn't do a current test. It looks like the pump is weak. Odd for a new Delphi.- Coothethird
