For my post above, I was just trying to convey that if you have an oil pressure issue...and you replace the sensor with a sensor other than an AC Delco sensor, you may be doing the job twice. I have a brand new sensor "aftermarket" sitting on my work bench that confirms this. I was just trying...

Yes sir, the AC Delco, made in Mexico switch fixed it. I want to make some comment about certain countries are better at making viruses than oil pressure switches but I won't...this is in reference to the other new switch I took off. It probably didn't have 1,000 miles on it.

Hey guys, I've seen good many posts about low oil pressure but not many listed a resolution. I hope this provides a quick reference. -recently bought a '97 C1500, 5.7, 5 speed, 3.42 POSI. -low oil pressure at idle (actually showing about zero), triggering "check gauges" light -previous owner...
