    Transmission Rebuild Problem 97 GMC

Had one do almost the same thing, took it to a different rebuild shop that was highly recommended by local independent mechanics and he found a hairline crack in the case that was causing pressure loss that was causing the bands to slip.

    No 4wd

Most of the burbs that year had auto lock hubs, if the hubs aren’t locking they could just be dry and sticking. We used to take them out and soak them in ATF for a few hours and you were usually good to go

    Actuator or HVAC box?

Look at the linkage, are their two arms with springs? If so remove the two mounting screws from the actuator and remove it, then manually move the arms to feel if the doors are moving.

    Actuator or HVAC box?

The fan speed issue is possibly the resistor assembly, they are inexpensive. Usually the bushings are bad in the fan which caused the thermal fuse in the resistor assembly to fail. The other issues are possibly the actuators the mode and blend door. Several good you tube videos on...

Poor acceleration and rough idle cause?

They are not bad at all to rebuild, depending on how much time you spend cleaning it’s easy done under an hour. The tiny filters on the sides of the injector bodies are the worst part just due to the tiny size. Rock Auto has a kit for under $30, but it doesn’t come with the regulator...

    Transfer case np246 gmt400 gmt800

The rattling noise is probably the rear output bearing. Fairly easy fix parts are under $100. Failing u joint is usually the cause of the bearing failure

    95 K2500 454 Running HOT--Advice??

IMO if you just replaced the thermostat I would check your fan clutch and verify the radiator is not dirty/obstructed. Had the new thermostat been functioning normally prior to this? How recent was the replacement? It might have had an air pocket if you had just replaced the T stat which...

    99 Suburban 2500 Help

I had a 1999 Yukon do this recently, if placed in 4HI the vibration/noise would go away. The output bearing had failed in the Transfer case.
