Has anyone ever used these headers on thier tbi 350? I’m thinking about running these but am unsure if I should get some good quality header gaskets or if the ones it comes with are good enough.

    Octane and timing..

I have my tbi 350 set at 6 degrees advanced. And plan on going to 93 octane should I bump my timing up more or leave it at 6 degrees? It started pinging at 8 on 87 so I backed it off 2 degrees..

    Ignition coil issues?

Personally I hate ethanol it’s basically water I don’t like the thought of water in my gas so I try to keep no ethanol fuel in it. And since my timming is advanced 90-93 octane is better off for me

    Ignition coil issues?

The cam is pretty mild if you used a big cam the map sensor is probably having a fit from the loss of vacuum at idle.. the cam I have is supposed to either no affect vacuum or increase it apparently.

    Ignition coil issues?

I bumped it to 8 and it started pinging so I backed it down 2 degrees and the pinging went away. I bumped the timing because it has a bigger cam and it seems to run better advanced

I changed my ignition coil on my 1994 Chevy k1500 tbi 350 because I tested the old one and it tested to be bad so I changed it.. I started the truck and it ran like absolute crap the rpm gauge was going all over the place and then it died. So I thought the new coil was bad so I swapped it out...

Tbi oil pressure and temp gauge..

so I’ve been looking into why my temp gauge always read cold it wouldn’t ever hit 195 it would show 150 the whole time it runs but if I put my temp gun on the thermostat it’s always at operating temp.. so I tested the temp gauge by grounding it out and it maxed out like it should. Then went on...

    Tbi stuttering

I don’t see any excessive play in the throttle shaft. I believe my distributor is bad because the timming suddenly changed. And it really only stutters when it’s warmed up..
