94 with the 6.5l diesel

I am interested in buying a 1994 3500 with the 6.5l diesel in it. It’s got 237,000 miles on it and their asking $4000. I’m not familiar with these diesel at all so I wanna know if they’re good engines and if it’s a good deal or if these are poopoo and I should avoid them? Thanks!

454 camshaft

Hi all, I’ve got a 1990 gmc with the 454 in it. Pre-vortec, so I don’t know if that makes a difference. Anyways, it has low compression due to the #7 or #8 cam lobe being worn off but not sure which one. My question is: what should I look for in a performance camshaft and lifters for when I go...
