I've finally got the new engine put in my Nissan so I've found a little time to play with the 89 this week. I lifted off the bent and cut up bed. I've read the RPO codes in the glove box and it is what I expected, the truck was originally a red fleetside SRW! This also says its a MM4 which is the sm465 gearbox. So its definitely had the clocks swapped at some point as it has the automatic gear display thing. Also has this sticker in the...- Dirtyninety

I've managed to find a new windscreen in the UK so hopefully get that picked up in the next few weeks. Only think I can't find on rockauto is a replacement light for the quad head lights. If I didn't have a family farm here I'd be moving straight out to the states! Fortunately I have some pretty friendly MOT testing friends, so as long as I make it look pretty good the emissions side of things shouldn't really matter!- Dirtyninety

It's an '89! I live in the middle rural Derbyshire. The dash is for an automatic, but its a manual 4 speed truck, I think a sm465? I'm in the middle of putting an engine back into my 1996 Nissan Patrol (my daily) hopefully by next weekend I'll bring the Chevy down into my workshop to start...- Dirtyninety

Before I even looked up from my phone I'd blindy dropped a 2500$ deposit on a truck that was 4000 miles away from me in Nebraska. 6 months later I drove up to fetch it from the importing agent...- Dirtyninety

It'll stand me at right around 8000$ including buying it, shipping it, taxes and registering it here.
