    I'm in love with my 90 2500

Nice truck! Unfortunately it was a year or two later before the 2500 and 3500's got overdrives. You most likely have 3.73's in it If you weren't going to pull much with it I would go 3.08's but you might have to change the carrier out to do so.

    1975 Dodge

Super Neat Truck! I would want to shorten it back to normal and either flatbed it or try and find a factory 8 foot bed for it.

88 silverado - no running lights or instrument panel backlight

I was messing around with my cig lighter plug on my 88 one day and blew a fuse that powered all that stuff. I think it was labeled "park" or some other similar acronym. In the fuse box just below the inst cluster.

    1995-1998 Gas Tachometer differences?

Thanks Guys! That is what I am seeing. I just saw a late 7.4 Vortec Truck with the 6k no redline tach. I just never realized all the variations before I started my search.

    1995-1998 Gas Tachometer differences?

It seems the Late 1991-1994 were all 5K with a 4.5K Redline? Except the 454ss.

    1995-1998 Gas Tachometer differences?

I've been looking at 1995-2000 C/K2500's lately and I noticed some different tachs in the gas trucks. I've seen a 5K tach with a 4.5k redline and a 6K tach with no redline? (I think the 4.5K redline tach is for the 5.0 and 7.4 and the 6K is the 5.7 ? Note sure ?) All my searches lead to "tach...

To resonate or not to resonate that is the question....

The old pancake cats used to really knock the sound levels down on the earlier trucks with the Flowmaster type mufflers. With no cat, headers and a single performance muffler it will make some noise. I would try a large resonator where the cat would normally go. It will help some. I believe...
