Don’t seem to be getting fuel

Shift sensor issue and maybe something else?
1998 k1500, 5.7/4l60e, transmission is about two years old. My truck has a bad shift sensor. The way it was explained to me is that this sensor Is what tells the TC to lock at cruising speed?
