Intermittent driveability problem

1995 K1500 Suburban ... Symptoms Drove 2.5 hours Interstate averaging 69-72 MPH. No problems. Stopped for Gas & Lunch. When restarted, engine idles just above 1000 rpm, Not normal. Shifts are HARD (automatic). 70 MPH level or downhill, no problem. Climbing interstate hills with Cruise...

92 tbi 4.3 drivability issues

My 95 K1500 Suburban did exactly as yours. Had to have it towed home. Retired mechanic. I did the diagnosis... BAD ignition Coil. I replaced the Coil & coil Wire ONLY. Working like a champ. As a precaution, I later replaced the Dist Cap & Rotor.
