If they are there and you don't have any exhaust pipe after the sensors, that will also keep them at basically zero voltage because they will read all the oxygen rushing in from the atmosphere.     Dex VI is basically just synthetic Dex III. If you don't know what's in there now, I would just be adding in Valvoline MaxLife ATF. It is compatible with either and meets the Dex VI spec. You can get it much cheaper at Walmart than you can from the auto parts store.
