Need help figuring out why my maplights won’t work after I installed a stock overhead console.

white is not a ground...it gets pulled to ground when a door pin is opened...the stock map lights weren't meant to be dome lights they were meant to be independent on/off lights...since you wired it to the stock dome there is no dedicated ground for the map buttons to operate off of. you can get...

if you look up to buy an ecu 96 97/98 00 are separated although i havnt researched what the differences are...for my first pre l.s. ecu swap id be more comfy with info that was as close as possible to the exact truck just in case.

97 2500 4x 454 4l80 (i believe) on trans...ill double check in a bit...its all stock accept with pro charger unit hence necesity for swap...

1997 K1500 Wont Start

check ecm 2 20amp fuse underhood...that year group has issues with the ignition controller on back of intake just above and to the right of distributor...that fuse will go from time to time or as an indicator of an issue with that modual Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
