I have a 1993 1/2 ton 4x4, I just got a great deal on a 1 ton 1998. My question is Will the running gear bolt on, or am I going to be cutting and welding? The motor has 30000, and the running gear has 120000. Just thinking about doing something different. Thanks looking for pros and cons...

Looking for advice

I have picked up a big block TBI (free) and the intake has to be bored out, is it worth spending the money on the aluminum intake or just keep the factory one. Like every one else I would like the most BANG for the buck. I plan on a Cam would like a nice “lumpy” one but not real sure what way to...

Replace 5.7 tbi motor with 5.7 carbureted motor

I have a 1993 ½ ton 4x4 auto, with the tbi 5.7. I am looking at the possibility of changing to an old school ruff idle, carbureted motor. My truck is not a daily driver so time is on my side. Beside the motor what else would be needed, I’m thinking flex plate, torque converter about...
