1990 v6 tranny on 350 tbi non vortec speedo question

So buddy just notified me that the truck i have bought from him had been swapped to a 350 tbi non vortec, which i know.. but aparently it has the v6 4.3 installed onto the 350. Just wondering if i still have to do the mod ive been looking up to make the speedometer work due to mine not working.

Eric's 1992 Chevy Cheyenne 350 Tbi W/T Build Thread

Hey I'm a new member here and I'd like to introduce myself and my Chevy! Picked this truck up from my buddy. Its a 1992 Chevy Cheyenne 4x4 W/T. Originally it had a 4.3 v6, but he then swapped it to a 350 Tbi. Heres some pics of the truck when I first got it, after a wash that is.
