Camper + transmission question

I'm about to put my slide in camper on my c1500 auto. It's a small unit without a the cab over, not sure on the weight yet. Was wondering how important it is to keep it out of over drive? I think it will really chew up the gas driving at higher speeds. I could see it for more city stop and go...

ignition lock?

Help! i went to start my truck tonight, had drove it earlier no problem, and it wont start. The ignition turns forward to power but not start, or doesnt engage. It was old and would let the key out when rinning but now it can turn forward if you jam it enough without the key. Do you guys think...
