It appears that only OP's can post in the build forums, should I start a new thread for the `Burb in there anyways or just stick with this thread so others can reply?
Here's the pics of the new frame. I am absolutely floored how nice this thing is.
Update;
Thee was a little misunderstanding on my part regarding when the frame was to be picked up, but it's formally scheduled to be picked up tomorrow morning and delivered Thursday.
God I pray this goes off without a hitch.
Would anyone be interested in a build thread on the Suburban once...
I tried Uship several times yesterday and each time they came back with "0" resources.
Loading & unloading the frame isn't a problem, both locations have forklifts and the frame will be strapped to a pallet.
I did find one shipper today that I'm trying to make arrangements through. They...
Update:
I found an appropriate frame (`99 C2500 Suburban 8600 lb.), but it's 500+ miles away and despite contacting almost a dozen resources today, I've struck out trying to make transport arrangements.
-Wrecking yard with the frame doesn't do shipping: out
-UShip: out
-Fastenal: out
-Local...
I neglected to mention that I spoke to my local Chevy dealership today and got the original frame part number for my C2500 which is P/N 12375999. That's the number highlighted in the 2nd pic below. The 1500 series frame p/n is 12375998
If you click on the part number itself, it goes to...
Yep, checking one thing at a time off the list.
Check out the 2 links below showing the part numbers for the various components that comprise the frame assembly; the first is the 1500 series, the 2nd the 2500 series.
1995 C1500 frame p/n 12375998 2WD
1995 C2500 frame p/n 12375999 2WD

Would there happen to be a kind soul out there who would be willing to slide underneath their 1500 series 1/2 ton `92-96 Suburban and measure the thickness of the frame rail with a pair of calipers somewhere around the B pillar between the doors?
I've been doing some pretty deep digging on this...
FWIW, major restoration projects are nothing new to me.
Forgive the off-topic pics, but this is my `67 Chevelle SS396 that I did a full frame off restoration on.

I have extremely strong sentimental attachment to my `Burb--without going into too much detail, it was part of an inheritance of sorts. In this instance, cost is not a primary concern, the `Burb will be fixed, it's only a matter of time and finding the right parts.
FWIW, I've wanted to get the...
I'm actually in the process of building a `90 3500 Crew Cab Silverado Dually as a "stand-in" for my `Burb while it's out of commission.
The `90 has a 454/400TH and a Dana 70HD with 4.10's, but the 454 will soon be replaced by a 572 I'm just finishing up. That oughtt'a be able to haul anything I...
Noob here, already posted in the intro section.
My DD `95 Suburban is down for the count with a pretty serious came of frame rot. Scrapping the truck is NOT an option, so I'm trying to nail down what other frames are a direct interchange so I can locate a suitable donor vehicle.
I understand...
