I did just did 500 mile road trip from Vegas to Utah. The Truck did great. I got 17-18 mpg without DOD engaged. Truck drove effortlessly and we even camped in the back of it! I really like the new seats. The truck is serving its purpose great!
I can do both harnesses if needed. If you keep the ABS your speedo will work. Coolant temp and oil pressure will work if you add the original senders to the new engine. Fuel Level will work as well. I am working to get the tach as well. PM for more info if you like.
Did you get the LT1? Small update but important. I got the 4x4 working. The original neutral safety switch would not fit to the 6l80e. I by passed it but a small yellow wire on the connector need to be grounded for the t case to know its in neutral. I grounded that sucker and now the 4x4...
T case output gear needs to changed. If you have a 4l60 then change the gear to the one the 4l80 uses.

No reply to my question here but here is what I found out. The t case works without the pcm. I did end up using it the pcm for abs but I left it unplugged to test.
Drivetrain is out! First order of business is to test fit the engine. I am using our mounts from work designed for jeep swaps as a base. I will use a rubber mount designed for a 2001 corvette.
I have no idea yet if the truck accessory drive will fit. If it does this saves me alot of $$. I...
