    Chrome spring bumper for tailgate

There aren't any salvage yards in my area with vehicles that old (25 years old). The oldest vehicles in salvage yards around here are 10-12 years old. Anything older than that gets sold to scrap yards and recyclers.

    Chrome spring bumper for tailgate

It is true: they want us to get rid of our GMT400 rigs and purchase their $80,000 rigs with junk motors, transmissions, and electronics. Especially the 10-speed transmissions GM and Ford are putting in the trucks today - waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too many moving parts and constant shifting. You'd be...

    Chrome spring bumper for tailgate

As far as I can tell, you don't ABSOLUTELY need them...which is probably why GM discontinued them 14 years ago. I have taken mine off, and the tailgate closes and stays latched just fine. These small "chrome spring bumpers" seem to eliminate the ever-so-slightest "play" at the top of tailgate...

    Chrome spring bumper for tailgate

I haven't posted enough threads or responded to enough threads to be good enough to post in all areas of the forum...? Or is it a deterrent for fakes/flakes/scammers/bots...?

    Chrome spring bumper for tailgate

Hi, all! Since my status is "Newbie," I'm not allowed to start a thread in the Classifieds area, so I'm here instead. I'm on a wild goose chase for (2) parts that were discontinued by GM in 2010. GM Part numbers 16627257 and 16627258. Called "chrome spring bumper" with numbers on each...

    Keep Manifolds or get shorties?

I'd stick with manifolds. Shorty's aren't really a performance or sound upgrade. If you are really wanting more performance (especially at mid and higher RPMs) and sound, long headers would be worth the investment. As @Das Hatt pointed out, long headers will require ECM...

Front HVAC Blower - Need More CFMs!

Yes - front and rear heater cores have been replaced, and front and rear evaporator coils have been thoroughly cleaned and inspected every year.

Front HVAC Blower - Need More CFMs!

Thanks for all the input, guys! There is definitely some air leaking behind the dash. In the places that I can fit my hand behind the dash, some places have cold air moving "quickly," not just cold air radiating from the HVAC box.

    Heater and AC controller

I had a very similar issue on my 1999 K2500 Suburban. Eventually, the system was totally stuck on defrost, regardless of heat or a/c on and running. I replaced the blend door actuator and the issue totally resolved.

Front HVAC Blower - Need More CFMs!

Although I'm not looking forward to this full day project, I think this is what needs to be done...because I've done everything else!

Front HVAC Blower - Need More CFMs!

Hi, guys! More HVAC stuff here. So, I guess I should start with everything I've replaced in the past 2-3 years: - Condenser - Front and rear compressors - Front and rear heater cores - AC lines - Heater core lines - HVAC control module (dashboard control panel) - Blower motor resistor (front)...
