I haven't figured out the tuning software. That's a little out of my league and fetching what I need has been a struggle. No shops or parts stores around me have an OBD1 scanner that gives live readings. I've been told on this thread and in person that it's probably a faulty sensor. So I...
Like I said, I just replaced the sensor. People keep saying that the sensor is bad. It's not lol. There definitely isn't any jimmy rigging to the wire harness. 3 wires come out with the 3 wire connector. I'm not even sure how a single wire sensor would connect. They had 2 totally different...
It has a 3 wire o2 from the factory as far as I know. Nothing was changed on my end but I've only had the truck for about a year. It was all stock low mileage. It threw the code for 13 which for this truck (keep me honest) relates to the o2 sensor
Read the previous comments. Yes it's heated. I swapped the sensor with an ntk sensor and it's still throwing a light. I'll trace the harness back. What other things should I check?
No shops around have a scanner that will give live readings. I bought an aldl cable, as well as a usb adapter, download tuner pro and am completely lost with finding a bin and xdf. I have no clue what I'm doing at this point so any help is appreciated
Lucky me no shops around have obd1 scanners that will give live readings of the sensor. I purchased an aldl cable to hook up to my laptop and monitor from there.
The point NTK sensor is definitely something I will look into. Could be an easy fix. I'll have to diagnose my current sensor first...
Loading up the parts cannon? I haven't replaced a single part since the code popped up. But thank you for your point about the upstream sensor. This is good news for me then considering I don't want to change the exhaust.
Awesome thanks for clarifying. I'll have to get my hands on an obd1 scanner and check the readings. I did get the 3 wire heated sensor for that exact reason.
I did clear the codes. O2 sensor has power- I'm not sure how to check that it functions with it being OBD1
The weird thing is I put almost 100mi right after I installed the sensor before the light came on. At that point the cat back exhaust was off the truck. Once I finished welding the y pipe...
