    90 k1500 5.7L code 13

Classic. My bet is it fixed it and he was only on the forum for that reason. You ever find your fix?

    93 5.7 cat delete o2 sensor light

I haven't figured out the tuning software. That's a little out of my league and fetching what I need has been a struggle. No shops or parts stores around me have an OBD1 scanner that gives live readings. I've been told on this thread and in person that it's probably a faulty sensor. So I...

    93 5.7 cat delete o2 sensor light

Like I said, I just replaced the sensor. People keep saying that the sensor is bad. It's not lol. There definitely isn't any jimmy rigging to the wire harness. 3 wires come out with the 3 wire connector. I'm not even sure how a single wire sensor would connect. They had 2 totally different...

    93 5.7 cat delete o2 sensor light

It has a 3 wire o2 from the factory as far as I know. Nothing was changed on my end but I've only had the truck for about a year. It was all stock low mileage. It threw the code for 13 which for this truck (keep me honest) relates to the o2 sensor

    93 5.7 cat delete o2 sensor light

Read the previous comments. Yes it's heated. I swapped the sensor with an ntk sensor and it's still throwing a light. I'll trace the harness back. What other things should I check?

Is anything else needed to put the spacer on? Does anything need extensions?

The ecm has a few numbers on it. Serv. No. 16197427 BJLF 86BJLFK640976299 16198125 BJLF 86BJLFK640976299

    93 5.7 cat delete o2 sensor light

No shops around have a scanner that will give live readings. I bought an aldl cable, as well as a usb adapter, download tuner pro and am completely lost with finding a bin and xdf. I have no clue what I'm doing at this point so any help is appreciated

    93 5.7 cat delete o2 sensor light

Lucky me no shops around have obd1 scanners that will give live readings of the sensor. I purchased an aldl cable to hook up to my laptop and monitor from there. The point NTK sensor is definitely something I will look into. Could be an easy fix. I'll have to diagnose my current sensor first...

    93 5.7 cat delete o2 sensor light

Loading up the parts cannon? I haven't replaced a single part since the code popped up. But thank you for your point about the upstream sensor. This is good news for me then considering I don't want to change the exhaust.

    93 5.7 cat delete o2 sensor light

Awesome thanks for clarifying. I'll have to get my hands on an obd1 scanner and check the readings. I did get the 3 wire heated sensor for that exact reason.

    93 5.7 cat delete o2 sensor light

I did clear the codes. O2 sensor has power- I'm not sure how to check that it functions with it being OBD1 The weird thing is I put almost 100mi right after I installed the sensor before the light came on. At that point the cat back exhaust was off the truck. Once I finished welding the y pipe...

Running cool after replacing temp sensor

They're also not interchangable. One has 2 prongs (intake) and the block sensor has 1 prong

    93 5.7 cat delete o2 sensor light

I have a 1993 k1500 and the cat has fallen apart and no longer existed within the exhaust. It has some rust and leaks so I had a straight pipe put in place. I put a new O2 sensor in (OEM ac Delco) and the ecm isn't having it. Still throwing a light. It runs good but I'm afraid it's in limp or...

Running cool after replacing temp sensor

Thanks everyone else for pitching in. Good to know it's not the most uncommon thing. I'll confirm it's temp through a scanner. Where is the course of the temp reading in the computer? Meaning, where would that other temp reading be pulled from? The other temp sensor up by the intake?

Running cool after replacing temp sensor

Thanks for nit-picking. Replaced manifolds with headers, sorry. Does it matter? No. Yes it's the correct one. OEM replacement, already stated that. Picked up from the stealership for the exact truck.

Running cool after replacing temp sensor

I snapped the connector off the temp sensor on the driver's side of the block when replacing my headers, so I replaced the sensor with an OEM AC Delco sensor. The gauge now reads however, it isn't heating up to 210 like it always did. I lost a bit of coolant when replacing the sensor but I...

Converting no powered doors to powered doors

The manual doors I'm about to get also came off a 94 so I'd think they'd have the holes cut for the wiring. Thanks! Sounds like I found the perfect deal

Converting no powered doors to powered doors

I've came across plenty of threads of swapping powered doors onto a truck with nonpowered doors, but I'm doing the opposite. I have a 1994 k1500 with powered doors that have rust at the bottom. I got my hands on clean doors from a 94 but they have different door cards from them not having...

Slight grinding clanking noise coming from inside axle

I have the front driver's wheel chopped and that jack could fail and id still have clearance to not be hit. This was a quick 2 minute check but I understand your concern on death. Thank you. I rotated the wheel and tried to clarify, that it's coming from the section I circled where the cv axle...

Slight grinding clanking noise coming from inside axle

When driving slowly I can hear metal on metal, and I think it's coming from where the cv axle meets the front diff axle. If that makes sense... I crawled under and hear a similar noise if I hit the axle with my hand. Is this common? 4wd still works so I'm not overly concerned. I also hear...
