    JD7 brake boster needed

I have a 1996 K2500 (454) with JD7 brakes. I'm having a hard time finding a new Hydraboost Brake boster. Everyone wants to sell me JB8 (10,000 lbs) when I have JD7 (8,000 lbs). Nobody seems to list one for JD7. I'm starting to go cross-eyed looking through all these sites and cross-references...

283,000 That's how many miles were on that pump. Lets see if I can get that .any out of the next one. Pump was the issue. Now I can hold my foot on the brake at low idle and steer with one finger.

14 Bolt FF brake adjustment and setup questions.

Are you sure you even have brakes at all in the rear? My rule of thumb is drums are properly adjusted when the weight of your hand against the tread is enough to spin the tire, and it stops before 1 complete rotation. When both sides are properly adjusted, you should have a high pedal. Then...

Changing the fluid in my 14-bolt.

So anyway.... back to the topic... Given my historty/experience, is this something I could try? Not dure if there are any specialty tools I'd need. My Diff spreader and yoke puller are for the smaller models.

If the photo is of the passenger side, then it looks correct to me.

Changing the fluid in my 14-bolt.

Full-float yes. I've read that these are easier to rebuild than the others I'm used to. Not sure I am in the mood to tackle it right now though. I'm in the middle of building 2 Jeeps (TJ) and I've already lost 2 weeks on this with nothing else to drive. Started with replacing fuel lines. Then...

Changing the fluid in my 14-bolt.

The magnet was doing what a magnet does. But should I be concerned? That's the real question.

Changing the fluid in my 14-bolt.

No clue. Not sure which bearings to check. Not sure if I want to try. Never rebuilt a 14-bolt before. I've done D30, D35, D44, 10-bolt and 12-bolt. But I understand these are an entirely different animal. A breed of their own.

Changing the fluid in my 14-bolt.

Found this stuck to my magnet (3/8" ratchet for scale). Bearing cage? Normal? Everything looks good. No unusual wear on my ring gear. 4.10's, limited slip. ~290,000 miles. Never changed the fluid in the ~9.5 years I've owned it. Constructive thoughts appreciated.

Low idle is 650 to 675 in gear.

Pretty sure that's about where it is. Might be my tach is off. I'll hook up to the computer next time it's hot and running at low-idle. Keep in mind it drops when the trnsmission is in a driving gear during parking procedures and not in P/N where the idle would bump up slightly.

No, they're all good. I change them fairly regularly. (LLT from Autozone. I think i'm on my...... fourth(?) full set up ball joint, tie-rod ends, drag-links, etc.) Alignment? I rotate the tires every other oil change and it's just the usual light feathering. Nothing unusual.

Well.... the truck has about 280,000 miles on it. I've had it for the past ~100,000. So extrapolate from there? Assume everything feels normal above 1,000 RPM. Low-idle: Brakes are good Steering is good Steering when foot on brake, not good. Does that sum it up clearly enough? ;) Does that...

So I'm yeah.... Which brake code do I have because I'm not seeing JB... anything on this. JD7 is the answer... but it's not an option anywhere I try to lookup a proper pump. So.....

    Already did that.
