I’m liking option 2, fits my lazy attitude about working on it. I’ll fix the gaskets and slap it together, at least there won’t be any external leaks anymore! Haha- Grube

Haha, I like spending OPM too. With my own things, I won’t deny - I tend to cheap out a lot! There is 315,000KMs, or 195700miles. I’ve only owned the truck since Dec 2023, and it had 17 owners before me haha. So I really can’t answer the oil changes or quality question. Cooling system is...- Grube

I’m gonna get a shop vac goin and try to suck up large pieces. Diesel brush is a good idea, I’ve got some around I can use. I was even thinking maybe run some atf in with the oil get it hot then drain it right away.- Grube

have had an oil leak running down back of engine. Couldn’t quite tell if was intake manifold or valve cover, decided to pull apart and do all the gaskets. Found some oil sludge buildup in valley. Looks like I’ve got some cleaning to do, and some hardware to replace. How much sludge is too...- Grube

97 yukon 4wd actuator upgrade
Cool to see the bulletin. Thanks for posting that. As an update to my original post - my 4wd is working nicely after replacing that actuator. My dash switches had a poor connection behind the dash as well.- Grube

Passenger Floorboard is always damp
Appreciate all the replies, and links to other threads in here. I am also chasing a passenger floor water leak. Well exactly a month later, and I finally did the fuel filter today. Cut it open to look at it, was pretty dirty, some flakes maybe varnish or something caught in it. Drain pan was clean before draining the contents of filter into it… so probably a good thing it’s finally done now lol.. the old...- Grube

Snow cruisin’ with my pup
Well I decided to try towing a trailer for the first time with this old truck. Figured I’d start small, so I loaded up the dog and the quad on trailer and went out. Truck didn’t even know it was back there lol- Grube
