I have recently discovered a weird anomaly...
Alternator plugged in volt gauge reads over 19v battery still only charges at 13.8v
Alternator unplugged volt gauge reads under 14v and only runs at 11.6
Just swapped alternators as my last one died and not sure if it matters but I have a Optima...
What is the verdict on regular cabs having the holes in the roof for the console? I've read many threads and posts and some say yes and some say no. My truck is a 94 if that matters.
I was thinking about some of these mods and how people go out and buy pod spacers. I'd rather take a trip to a junk yard and just collect a bunch of OEM pod spacers and just use more than 1 and that way you can adjust to your liking.
If a ground bolt went through into a water passage or liquid passage it couldn't be a ground bolt. You also don't want to put anything on threads that is a ground bolt. If you want to do anything with a ground bolt you could paint it or use a bit of dialectric grease.
My only issue these little units is the fact that most of them have very limited audio functionality. For example I prefer my speakers to be hooked up to amplifiers and these units can't do this.
I would rather mount my head unit behind the seat of the truck and then use a aux control with a...
So I just want to update this. Driving at night with the lights on and you put the signal lights on the voltage meter drops and then bounces in sync with the blinking light.
Thoughts?
Funny I just got a rclb myself and have to admit those 40/60 seats are damn comfortable! And to top if off thanks for running soft 8s as that solidifies that I want them now for my truck.
I just picked up a 93 rclb truck with needle gauges. I'm not sure how accurate some of them are but I know for a fact a few of the gauges are being silly.
The first gauge is the tachometer gauge. It has a tendency to be a bit bouncy in the high rpms... I'm thinking distributor related? The...
I'm not really sure its called but I call it the 4wd driveshaft.
I yanked it out the other day doing some maintenance work and discovered that both ujoints were shot and have those on order at the moment.
But my main question is there anyway to do any maintenance on these? Or rebuild...
Cable is actually quite easy to replace. You will have to pull the driver seat out but that is about it. The rest is just wiggling it through all the tight spots.
