    So I have a 1990 gmc k1500, 5.7 with a 5 speed. Code says Gt4- 3.73 gear. I'm running 35" tires about to go to 37". Should I change my gear to 4.56? Should 3.73 be ok for now? I dont know much about rear end gears. Thanks in advance!

    Welp I have no idea what I was doing wrong, went back out and in 5 minutes i got one side in I've done cv's before and never had a problem! I guess the moon and the stars weren't aligned right earlier.

    What if you follow through with the maintenance that K&n filters require? If one couldn't maintain the filter when recommended, I would say they shouldn't be tinkering with anything, not even dead Chinese mowers.

    I understand! I have checked the tube a few times, it felt oil free and no dust. But, I haven't really got to drive it to far because as soon as I put it on, a day later I got this crazy leak lol. I've used other cai's with no issues, but this is my first K&n. Thanks to all!

    Oh and I change the oil every 3000 miles. Since this leak though, it will lose about half a quart! No joke its a lot.     I cleaned it, drove it, looked for where it was coming from, cleaned it, drove it.... it's just hard to see the back side of the block. But when I pulled the intake the rtv looked pretty crappy. New rear main, new valve covers, new distributor gasket, new oil pan gasket, pcv, oil pressure switch...

    It's a one piece seal. I don't think it's the rear main though. Idk. I'm doing intake gaskets today to see if that fixes it. That's the only other thing I think it could be. Any other ideas are much appreciated!
