Is the towing capacity for my truck going to be based on the Half-ton (5,000 lbs), or the 3/4 ton (7,500 lbs)? According to my RPO codes, I have 3.73 gears. How can I determine my towing capacity, as it might compare to a new truck?

Whoa, how about this!? It's a double DIN face, with a single DIN case. It's also the highest rated Android Auto/Apple Carplay stereo out right now. From what I can tell in the video, it looks like the single din is higher up and the screen hangs down lower. That could be a perfect solution...

From what I can tell, with some stereos you can connect it directly to, and with others, you need the adapter. I'm not sure why someone would get crap for putting it in. It's fairly necessary for answering phone calls. My two other, much newer, vehicles have it, I'd miss it in the truck. Sent...
