This is for those whom requested how I performed this Mod.
Want to make your Intake louder?
Want to instantly grin when you hammer-down?
Want to learn how you can grow your.. Whoops, wrong forum.
Items needed:
Flat-head screwdriver
1 Hose clamp
2" rubber cap from the plumbing department, like this one:
Here's the specs:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY & AM NOT LIABLE IF YOU CAUSE ANY DAMAGE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE (Covering my butt. I had absolutely no issues & have had it like this for 2+ years)
Remove air filter cover and put it aside
There's 2 separate clips on the front & rear
Front
Rear
Remove bolt labeled #13 it's bolted to the square box on the intake near the throttle body that says VORTEC #14.
Once the bolt is removed wiggle the silencer out #14
Grab your rubber cap and if it isn't hot outside- it'll be hard to slip it over the opening. So take a blow dryer or whatever you got to make it pliable and slip it OVER the end of the intake elbow like this:
Clamp it down and go for a ride.
