Turns out the guy that looked at it forgot to connect the pig tail to the MAF causing it to send the wrong signal to the pcm...Once I connected it back it started being a slug again at this point I was super confused I then replaced the MAF sensor and nothing still a slug I then replaced the MAP sensor and again still a slug finally I decided to take look at the fuel pump and when I pulled it out it turned out it had a broken O - ring where the fuel pump sits on the gas tank O - ring was just floating around in the gas tank...I replaced the fuel pump and O - ring and it runs like a champ.

imo, the reason the truck was shifting so high was because the SES light was on for that code. My truck did the same exact thing with that code

yeah dude... these trucks are torque monsters and tanks... this is what the HUMVEE was based on...
plus they do weigh over 4000 lbs... almost 5K actually...

the most nimble & quick 4x4 I ever owned, or even drove, was a 95 grand Cherokee with the 318 V8.... almost 1000 lbs lighter than this truck and several feet smaller (length + width)

if you REALLY want better throttle response and more punch youll need to upgrade the torque converter and re-gear.... but it will never be "racecar"

I will say though that the most noticeable thing I have ever done to free up HP and make throttle response jump... was... deleting the mechanical for an electric fan....
