It snaps in to place, right? Could it have broken loose and fallen off?

Is the 10,000 psi adhesive epoxy available at Home Depot?
Yep, likely flew off. They'll do it.

Not like this one on my wife's SS though. Attached with body molding tape, by design. You can see the obvious tool marks where some maggot stole it. This pad costs about $150.. if you can find it in stock.

I've got a spare one on a junk bumper cover, just haven't gotten around to carefully pulling it to swap it over. For now, I've wheeled the leftover tape off her bumper.

I wish, no I had a tool bag in the bed. When took it out to put in cab it had slide to tailgate. So I saw the pad when reached in. So it decided to go home with some one else. It didn't grow wings and fly away.
